Admiral Mohab Mameesh SignsMOU with Singapore-based PSA International for the Study of DevelopmentPotentials , Operation, Marketing and Management of a New Container Terminal inEast Port Said Basin

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of theSuez Canal Authority, signed a Memo of Understanding with Singapore-based PSAInternational for the study of development potentials, operation marketing andmanagement of a new container terminal in East Port Said Basin.

Admiral Mameesh represented the Egyptianside, in signing the MOU, whereas PSA International was represented by Mr. Tan Chong Meng inhis capacity as Group CEO.

Signing this MOU comes as one of thepositive results for the historical visit of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi toAsia last September, in which he discussed scopes of mutual Cooperation withthe leaders of China Indonesia and Singapore.

Upon this agreement, PSA Internationalshall provide technical assistance to SCZone in the area of container terminaldevelopment that will include review of design criteria for the terminal andbackyard to meet standard operational requirements, as well as providinginformation on the operational requirements for infrastructures and utilities(power, water, IT, etc) in addition to the technical, commercial, financial andeconomic viability of the Project.
